What the research covers
BPC-157 is a synthetic pentadecapeptide — a 15-amino-acid sequence originally derived from a protein found in gastric juice. Its preclinical record is unusually deep, and the mechanisms are fairly well mapped in cell and animal models.

Researchers have repeatedly described up-regulation of VEGF and activation of the VEGFR2–PI3K–Akt–eNOS pathway, plus nitric-oxide signaling through both VEGF-dependent and VEGF-independent routes. BPC-157 isn’t approved by Health Canada or the FDA. None of that makes it uninteresting to study — it just makes well-documented, verified material non-negotiable.
